Atletico Madrid are exploring the possibility of signing Liverpool striker Luis Suarez, Marca has suggested.
Los Colchoneros have been following the Uruguayan for a couple of years now and they even opened negotiations to sign him before the player opted to join Liverpool instead.
Suarez has since proved his worth with some impressive showings in English Premier League, with Atletico now set to launch a fresh assault on the 25-year-old.
Los Colchoneros are already bracing themselves for life without Falcao, and they believe the Liverpool forward would be a perfect replacement for the Colombian.
Suarez has so far denied speculations linking him with a move away from Anfield, but he could change his mind if the Reds continue to struggle.
The Uruguay international, who joined Liverpool in a €26.5 million deal from Ajax, is currently leading the race for Premier League top goalscorer, having bagged 10 goals in 12 league games.
