Atletico Madrid set for big summer sales

According to a recent report from Marca, Spanish club Atletico Madrid are said to be interested in selling up to seven players in the summer transfer window. This would seem like a pretty unlikely way forward for a team who are notorious for keeping hold of their star players, but the main purpose behind the move is to raise the funds for two big incomings. The two players in question are Hector Herrera and Alex Telles, both of whom have been heavily linked with a move to Atletico for quite a while now.

It’s not yet known who they would aim to move on, but given how much interest there is in some of their star players, they could be pretty substantial. It’s well known that Antoine Griezmann has been once again linked with a move to Barcelona, whereas other big names from throughout the squad could also be on their way out.
