Fulham are readying January bid for Atletico Madrid midfielder Raul Garcia, Daily Mirror understands.
The Cottagers are extremely short of options in the centre of the park after a number of players left the club in the summer transfer window and Mahamadou Diarra picked up a knee injury a couple of weeks back.
Fulham boss Martin Jol is attempting to sign one of the available free agents as a short-term solution, with Owen Hargreaves, Nigel Reo-Coker and Thomas Hitzlsperger being mentioned.
However, he is eager to return for Atletico Madrid midfielder Raul Garcia as soon as the transfer window reopens in January.
The Cottagers attempted to sign the 26-year-old in the summer, but were out off by the £7 million price-tag.
Raul Garcia has returned to the club following a very successful loan spell with Osasuna, but having played just 7 minutes in La Liga so far, he is likely to leave the club in search of first team football in January.
