Spanish giants Atletico Madrid have decided to step up their interest in Lyon star Alexandre Lacazette, according to L’Equipe.
It is no secret that los Colchoneros plan to reinforce their front line in the summer transfer window and they seem ready to make a move on their long-term target.
While Lyon opted against selling their prized possession in previous transfer markets, les Gones have decided to let him leave in the summer and they reportedly want €60 million for his services.
Atletico Madrid could, however, face stiff competition for the France international considering that Borussia Dortmund, Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal are also believed to be keen on the 25-year-old.
Lacazette has been one of Europe’s most prolific forwards in recent years, having scored impressive 72 goals in last three Ligue 1 campaigns.
The time has come for him to leave Lyon for greener pastures and it only remains to be seen where he will end up.
