Despite their ongoing transfer suspension Spanish heavyweights Atletico Madrid are actively seeking ways to improve their squad.
The Rojiblancos have already hired Vitolo and Diego Costa who will gain right to play for the Diego Simeone’s side in January, while Atleti are getting close to completion of another extremely exciting transfer.
According to reports coming from the Spanish media publication AS Atletico Madrid are closing in on Argentina Under-20 international Lautaro Martinez.
Racing Club striker is the subject of a €12 million offer from the Spanish side and is believed to be extremely keen on making a January move to the Wanda Metropolitano during the winter transfer window.
Atletico Madrid have reportedly already sent their emissaries to Argentina with sporting director Andrea Berta at helm to conclude a deal for the talented forward.
French champions AS Monaco have also been linked with a move for Racing Club striker.
