Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport understands that Atletico Madrid are readying summer bid for Napoli full-back Faouzi Ghoulam.
Considering that first-choice left-back Filipe Luis will turn 32 in August, los Colchoneros see the Algerian defender as a good long-term successor.
Atletico Madrid officials are well aware of the fact that Ghoulam plans to leave Stadio San Paolo for greener pastures in the summer, and they seem ready to act.
Tuttosport claims that los Colchoneros plan to start the bidding at €20 million, but they may have to offer more in case other interested sides decide to step up their interest.
Faouzi Ghoulam has a contract until June 2018 at Stadio San Paolo and he doesn’t seem interested in signing a new deal.
The likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea and Bayern Munich are some of the other sides believed to be keen on his services.
