According to a recent report from Sunday Mirror, Atletico Madrid could pursue full-back Max Aarons as a replacement for Kieran Trippier.
While Trippier is hardly out of the door he has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United over the course of the last few months. Now, in the wake of Euro 2020, the Red Devils are ready to put forward an offer that they hope Atletico won’t be able to refuse.
Aarons is set to play a featured role for Norwich City in the Premier League this season after helping them on their way to promotion from the Championship. Alas, if such an offer comes in from Atletico, it’ll be pretty hard to turn down.
Trippier has proven himself to be an elite player within his position and in the next few years, it’s pretty conceivable to think Max Aarons could rise up and have the same kind of impact.
