Atletico Madrid want Joao Felix

According to a recent report from Marca, Atletico Madrid are hopeful that they can bring in a pretty strong replacement for the outgoing Antoine Griezmann – in the form of Benfica star Joao Felix. The youngster has been heavily linked with a series of top European clubs, with Barcelona believed to be in pole position to land his signature alongside Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City. However, the teenager isn’t going to be a cheap acquisition, and has a release clause of €120 million. Atletico could wind up funding the transfer courtesy of Griezmann’s proposed move away, but it all depends on how the timing falls.

Either way Felix should be expecting an exceptionally busy summer transfer window, as fans continue to speculate over where he’s going to end up next season. Atletico, on the other hand, are facing the very real possibility of life without Griezmann, but they seem to be dealing with it fairly well.
