According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Atletico Madrid have an incredibly strong interest in trying to sign Arsenal forward Alexandre Lacazette during the summer transfer window.
While Lacazette certainly seems to be happy at the Emirates, there is an argument to be made that he isn’t being utilised to the best of his abilities within their current setup. If he did end up leaving he’d probably make the jump over to a team overseas – with Atletico leading the race.
Madrid have been wanting to improve their attacking options for quite some time now and if Lacazette continues to be sporadic with his goalscoring, the Gunners may welcome the opportunity to make some money off of him.
Either way it’s going to be a fascinating few months for all parties involved, with Arsenal’s future from a goalscoring standpoint very much being in doubt – although at the very least, it does seem like Aubameyang wants to stay.
