Atletico Madrid want Llorente

According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Atletico Madrid are interested in the possibility of signing Real Madrid midfielder Marcos Llorente during the summer transfer window. Llorente is seemingly surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu at this moment in time, and instead of staying on the bench as a back-up, it seems like he’s more interested in the idea of starting fresh. Of course, one of the reasons why Atletico are said to be interested is because of their current midfielder Rodri, as he has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City. If that deal does in fact go through then it’ll swing the door wide open for Atletico to try and make this deal, as they continue to prepare for what should be a really busy summer for them.

Whatever happens, though, it feels like Llorente’s future is most certainly away from the Spanish giants – which is probably the right call.
