Atletico Madrid want Ruiz

According to a recent report from AS, Italian side Napoli are preparing for a bid from Atletico Madrid for their midfield Fabian Ruiz. The 23 year old put in a great shift for Spain during the European U21 Championships, to the point where he’s put himself in the shop window in a big way. Ruiz has been on the verge of breaking into the upper echelons in the landscape of European football for quite some time now, but after this summer, it really does seem like he’s going to be able to take his game to that next level.

Either way, it’s interesting to see that Atletico are still eagerly going after a series of top players during the summer window. They’ve already made a few important moves, as they continue to try and push Barcelona and Real Madrid all the way in the La Liga title race after being left behind last season.
