Atletico, Maniche wants a running start

Atletico Madrid will travel to the Estadio do Dragao to take on FC Porto in the second leg of the Champions League last-16 after both sides were locked in a 2-2 stalemate at the Vicente Calderon in the first leg.

“Porto will be a very difficult team to beat, but we can win,” Nuno Maniche was quotes as saying by Marca. “The key is that we must hold firm in the first 15 or 20 minutes because that’s when they are going to put a lot of pressure on us and they will try to block off all our escape routes.

“But if we concentrate and play like a strong, united team, I believe that we can withstand them.”
