Belgian defender Toby Alderweireld will be allowed to leave Atletico Madrid this summer, according to El Mundo Deportivo.
Together with full-back Emiliano Insua, the former Ajax star is among players that los Colchoneros plan to get rid off by the end of the summer transfer window.
And while the Argentine could join Rayo Vallecano, Toby Alderweireld should be moving to English Premier League.
The 25-year-old was on the radar of several Premiership clubs last summer, but he ultimately opted to join Atletico Madrid.
Some of those clubs are widely expected to rekindle their interest in his services, especially since the Belgium international is likely to be available at a bargain price.
Alderweireld is eager to leave Atletico after making just 12 La Liga appearances during his first season at the club, while featuring in four Champions League fixtures.
Los Colchoneros start their league campaign tonight against local rivals Rayo Vallecano and are priced at 1/2 to claim maximum points.
