Atletico pursuit of Andre Silva set to help Frankfurt re-sign Jovic permanently

Atletico Madrid are interested in signing Andre Silva from Eintracht Frankfurt this summer, and that could help the Bundesliga bring Luka Jovic back from Real Madrid permanently with the Serbian striker already there on loan, according to reports relayed by AS.

Jovic left Frankfurt to join Real in a €60 million deal in the summer of 2019. He was seen as a backup option and a potential long-term successor to Karim Benzema, but he failed to impress in the Spanish capital and has now gone back to Eintracht on loan for the rest of the season. Once back at the place where he has played his best football so far, Jovic’s quickly found his form again and is happy again, having scored three goals in five Bundesliga games since the move took place a month ago.

Eintracht now apparently want the 23-year-old back permanently, and if they agree to sell Silva to Atletico, they will use the money they receive to tempt Real Madrid.
