Champions League finalists Atletico Madrid are hot on the trail of Monaco starlet Thomas Lemar, Le 10 Sport can reveal.
The 19-year-old has enjoyed a brilliant start to his spell with the Principality club, having managed 5 goals and as many assists in 34 league appearances.
His excellent displays did not go unnoticed as Manchester City and Bayern Munich expressed interest in his services, while Atletico Madrid now hope to move front of the queue.
Los Colchoneros scouts watched the player in action in Monaco’s opening pre-season fixture against Lugano, and reports suggest the La Liga side will soon come forward with an official proposal.
Atletico plan to wrap up the deal quickly before other interested sides have time to act, but it remains to be seen whether they can reach an agreement with the Ligue 1 club.
Los Colchoneros have so far recruited Nicolas Gaitan, Sime Vrsaljko and Diogo Jota, while Fernando Torres signed a new deal with the club.
