Spanish giants Atletico Madrid are ready to offer star forward Antoine Griezmann a mega-money contract to persuade him to stay at Vicente Calderon, according to La Razon.
The Frenchman is widely tipped to join Barcelona at the end of the season as the Catalans are reportedly prepared to match his €100 million release clause.
But, before a deal is agreed, Atletico Madrid officials plan to make one final attempt to make Griezmann remain at Vicente Calderon.
Namely, los Colchoneros will offer the forward a new long-term deal worth staggering €20 million per season, which is over three times more than the salary he is currently earning.
Antoine Griezmann, 27, is widely regarded as one of Europe’s most prolific strikers, having bagged 16 goals or more in each of last five La Liga campaigns.
