Spanish radio station Cadena SER has revealed the names that are on Atletico Madrid’s hit-list ahead of the 2014/2015 season.
The same source has suggested that Azeri investors linked to the club forgot a list of potential reinforcements in a Madrid restaurant called Pozuelo de Alarcon.
Cadena SER has, therefore, learned that the likes of Luis Suarez, Ivan Rakitic, Mathieu Valbuena, Alberto Moreno, Axel Witsel and William Carvalho are all on Atletico’s radar.
Los Colchoneros are determined to continue their recent uptrend in fortunes and they seem willing to invest considerable amount of money next summer.
Atletico could stay without star player Diego Costa, who is wanted by Europe’s top clubs, while they also plan to sign a new left-back and a couple of midfielders.
Diego Simeone’s side face local rivals Real Madrid at the weekend in an attempt to close the gap behind the La Liga leaders, with home win paying 12/5 at the moment.
