Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang said that ‘the door is always open’ with regards to a move away from the German club. The striker was speaking in an interview on French TV programme Téléfoot, and added, ‘we will see what happens at the end of the season.’
Premier League giants Manchester City saw a bid for the Gabonese international rejected by Dortmund on the last day of the summer transfer window, but Aubameyang admitted in the same interview that the Premier League has never really appealed to him. This may lead Pep Guardiola to look elsewhere next summer.
PSG also failed to sign the highly sought after forward in the summer, but AC Milan and Real Madrid are the clubs most interested in acquiring Aubameyang’s signature, according to Sky Sports.
Dortmund currently sit top of the Bundesliga with a five point lead over rivals Bayern Munich, and Aubameyang described the club as his ‘family’. However it may be difficult for the German club to hold onto their star player for much longer if the likes of Real Madrid come calling with a big enough offer.
