According to a recent report from ESPN, Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has demanded a new three-year contract worth around £250,000 per week in order to stay at the Emirates.
His current deal is set to expire in 2021, with the 31-year-old hoping to raise his wages up from £180,000.
It’s clear to see that the Gabon international is the most influential player within this Arsenal squad, to the point where many fans believe that without him, they’d struggle in a big way. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has already made it clear that they’re going to do everything in their power to keep hold of him, but beyond that, they also want to try and strengthen the squad around him, too.
One defining factor in this potential deal could be whether or not the club is about to qualify for Europe next season, because if they don’t, Aubameyang would likely be very tempted to look elsewhere.
