August 26th: Saturday’s English Accumulator – 9/1

With the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United stealing center stage this weekend, Saturday promises to be another stacked schedule from across England’s footballing tiers. So, for those of you looking to stick on a Saturday accumulator, we have found a handful of tips that are worth keeping an eye out for.

Saturday August 26th

BST 15:00 Ipswich vs Leeds

While Ipswich might have only made their Championship return this season, the Blues are in the midst of what has been an iconic purple patch. Suddenly dreaming of the chance to book a famous Premier League return in 2024, Saturday’s hosts have continued on a remarkable rise under Kieran McKenna. Last seen putting in another rugged performance as they landed a 1-0 victory away at QPR, the one-time Manchester City coach has seen his side win each of their opening four appearances across all competitions. Likewise, extending on their EFL Cup adventure as they claimed a routine 2-0 win against Bristol Rovers earlier in the month, Ipswich have quickly gained a reputation for their defensive resolve. Shipping just a single strike on their four-match winning run, the Blues will be looking to collect a heavyweight Championship scalp at Portman Road. Watching Leeds lose their Premier League status and coming under a huge amount of scrutiny, Saturday’s guests have failed to find any kind of momentum since making their Championship return. Despite being last seen snatching a 1-1 draw at home against West Brom, Daniel Farke’s new squad are yet to pick up a single Championship victory. With their downbeat start underlined by a 1-0 loss at the hands of Birmingham on August 12th, the former Norwich boss will face a tough challenge this weekend.

Tip: Ipswich draw no bet @ 4/6

15:00 Gillingham vs Colchester

While Gillingham might have found themselves at the heart of a relegation scrap last season, Saturday’s hosts have come roaring back in some style. In the midst of a remarkable purple patch since opening the 2023/24 campaign, Mewl Harris’ men are riding a remarkable wave of momentum. Last seen putting in another eye-catching performance as they landed a 1-0 win away at Crawley, the ex-Millwall boss has seen his high-flying squad gain a string of plaudits. Winning each of their opening four League One appearances, the Gills are also the only third-tier club that can boast a 100% start. Smelling the chance to make another statement this weekend, Harris’ side have also gained a reputation for their extended success at the back. In fact, extending on their EFL Cup adventure thanks to a stunning 3-1 romp against Southampton on August 8th, that is the only strike that Gillingham have shipped in their first five appearances across all formats. On the flip side, enduring yet another League One struggle over the past few weeks, Colchester find themselves tipped as a leading relegation contender this time around. Last seen getting hit with an action-packed 3-2 loss at home against MK Dons, the Essex-based outfit have lost each of their last four contests. With their nightmare spell underlined by a 2-0 loss against AFC Wimbledon on August 15th, the U’s certainly face a huge challenge at Priestfield Stadium this weekend.

Tip: Gillingham win & Under 4.5 goals @ 23/20

17:30 Brighton vs West Ham

Laying down yet another Premier League statement last weekend as they stormed their way to a stellar 4-1 romp against Wolves, Brighton are in the midst of what has been a famous domestic flurry. Gaining a string of plaudits last season as they claimed a maiden Europa League ticket, Roberto De Zerbi’s men certainly find the mood in their camp at a red-hot high. Opening the 2023/24 campaign with another 4-1 victory at home against Premier League returners Luton, the one-time Sassuolo boss will be calling on his high-flying squad to make another statement on the south coast. Opening this weekend’s fixtures sat at the top of the table and with their sights set on mounting a genuine Champions League charge this time around, Saturday’s hosts have quickly gained a reputation for their free-scoring performances in the final third. On the flip side, although West Ham might have laid down their own Premier League marker last weekend as they landed a 3-1 victory at home against London rivals Chelsea, David Moyes’ men will be more than aware that they face a stern challenge here. Hit with a 4-0 drumming when they travelled to the Amex back on March 4th, the Hammers will be worried by a nightmare record against Saturday’s hosts. In fact, West Ham have lost each of their last three straight showdowns against Brighton by an aggregate score of 9-1.

Tip: Brighton win & Both teams to score @ 9/5
