Aurelien Tchouameni could cost Liverpool £52m

Liverpool may have to pay £52 million as transfer fee for AS Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, according to French football journalist Jonathan Johnson in The Liverpool Echo. Johnson has said that Ligue 1 outfit Monaco have told interested clubs that they want at least £42 million for the 22-year-old France international.

Johnson has added that Tchouameni’s price could go up to £52 million if Monaco finish in the Champions League places in the Ligue 1 table this season. Journalist Santi Aouna reported in Empire of the Kop last week that Liverpool are interested in the Frenchman.

Tchouameni has made 30 starts and two substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for Monaco so far this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process. The youngster has made seven appearances in the Europa League this campaign.
