Australia and the Netherlands are scheduled to meet for a friendly in October, as the two nations prepare for next year’s World Cup.

In addition, the Socceroos will also use this game as a test of four Asian Cup qualifiers.

Australia easily earned qualification for the 2010 World Cup, finishing first in their final qualifying group. The Netherlands were the first European team to secure a World Cup spot, having won all of their seven games so far.

The match will be played at the Sydney Football Stadium on October 10.
