Austrian international striker Erwin Hoffer has moved to German first division club Kaiserslautern on a one-year loan from Italian side Napoli, Austrian press agency APA said on Thursday.
The 23-year-old, nicknamed Jimmy, had moved to Napoli only a year ago in July 2009 on a five-year contract from Rapid Vienna but played just four times last season.
He has played 16 times for Austria and was a member of the Euro 2008 squad. His only appearance of the tournament came in the final group match against Germany.
Kaiserslautern were promoted to the top flight Bundesliga after winning the second division championship in May.
