AVB keen on Hulk

The Dally Mirror are today reporting that new Tottenham boss Andre Villas Boas plans to make a move for highly rated striker Hulk.

Spurs look set to do battle with London rivals Chelsea to sign the Porto man, who arrived in England’s Capital on Tuesday evening as he is competing for Brazil in the Olympic Games.

Hulk has been linked with a move away from the Portuguese side for some time now and this summer could be when he finally makes the move to the English Premier League.

Villas Boas will be looking to convince the 25-year-old to move to White Hart Lane, suggesting that he will play more first team football compared to what he would with the Champions League holders.

The Stamford Bridge team do have the advantage of competing in Europe’s elite competition whereas Spurs will be playing in the Europa League.

Hulk will see that Tottenham did finish above Chelsea in the league last season and may see them as more genuine title contenders.

Whatever happens, this is certainly a transfer story to keep an eye this summer on and these two local rivals could go head to head to secure the attackers services and it could come down to who offers the most money to the Brazilian.
