Talk Sport are today reporting that Ryan Babel has been released by Hoffenheim and now could be set for a move back to the English Premier League.
Babel was previously on Liverpool’s books but left for the Bundesliga in 2011, where he has failed to live up to expectations.
It is thought that the Holland international would welcome a return to England and Queens Park Rangers are a club that are keeping tabs on him – along with Stoke City and Aston Villa.
However, Serie A outfit Fiorentina are also keen to sign the winger.
Babel certainly has plenty of ability and if he is managed in the correct manner, then could be a fantastic bit of business for a club.
He is sure to want to prove himself in the Premier League again.
The 25-year-old will know what an important move the next one in his career is as he should be entering his best years as a player.
He will surly need to restore his confidence after being demoted to train with the reserves for the German side, which led to his contract being terminated by mutual consent.
It is certainly another story to keep an eye on in this fascinating transfer window.
