Croatia midfielder Marko Babic has returned to the Bundesliga after agreeing a loan move from Real Betis to Hertha Berlin. He has made just 12 appearances for the Seville-based club and has not featured at all since September.

Hertha general manager Dieter Hoeness said: “We are delighted to be able to sign a player in Marko Babic, who is known in the Bundesliga from his successful time with Bayer Leverkusen. He has vast experience and he is a versatile midfielder whose strength is on the left-hand side”.
