Bielefeld have solved their goalkeeper troubles by signing free agent Alexander Bade, who agreed to a one-year stay at the German club.
Arminia’s first choice goalie Rowen Alexander injured his right knee a day after the closing of this summer’s transfer window, leaving his side without a chance to find a replacement at another club.
But a solution was eventually found, as Alexander Bade turned out to be available on a free transfer, after an inactive period of almost seven months.
The 38 year old keeper from Berlin began his career in 1991, and has represented FC Köln, Uerdingen, Hamburg, Bochum, Paderborn and most recently Borussia Dortmund.
Bade joined Dortmund in January this year, but made only one appearance as reserve goalkeeper during a match with Schalke 04.
