According to a recent report from Daily Mirror, Eric Bailly has made it clear that he will leave Manchester United if opportunities in the first team continue to evade him.
Bailly is incredibly eager to start the Europa League final and while that probably isn’t going to be the straw that breaks the camel’s back either way, it could play some kind of role.
Bailly is clearly an incredibly efficient defender but there are still big questions surrounding his long term future at Old Trafford. United have defensive options within their squad but the popular opinion is that Bailly would be the best person to partner Harry Maguire moving forward.
The final against Villarreal could serve as a huge moment for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer heading into the summer transfer window and beyond but regardless of whether they win or lose, Bailly’s future is still going to be called into question.
