Eric Bailly is keen to stay at Manchester United and fight for regular game-time under Erik ten Hag, according to Sky Sports, despite interest from Fulham in a loan move for the central defender.
Having secured a return to the Premier League, the Cottagers would like to sign the 28-year-old on a loan for the 2022/23 season, while United prefer a permanent sale or at least a loan with an obligation to buy. However, Bailly would like to stay put and as things stand, no move appears likely at the moment.
Bailly hasn’t been able to establish himself as a regular starter at United with both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and later his Ralf Rangnick preferring the likes of Harry Maguire, Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof in the heart of defence, and the task could become even more difficult as United reportedly push for the arrival of Lisandro Martinez from Ten Hag’s former club Ajax.
