Bakayoko set for AC Milan

According to Sky Italia, Tiemoue Bakayoko is on the verge of completing his move from Chelsea to AC Milan. The 23-year-old midfielder will be making the switch on a season-long loan, with the option to buy being available – for a reported fee of around €40 million.

Bakayoko moved to Stamford Bridge last year from AS Monaco, but in that time, he hasn’t quite been able to make the kind of impact that he’d originally intended. Whilst he’s able to read the game well and is considered to be an all-around complete midfielder, it seems as if the English style of play doesn’t really suit him on a week to week basis.

Sevilla were another team that was said to be interested in acquiring his services, but after weeks of speculation, it seems as if the San Siro will be Bakayoko’s next destination as he prepares to close this particular chapter in his Chelsea journey.
