“Interesting clubs have inquired but we give priority to Chelsea.
“We know there is the Champions League and we are looking for stability. Tiemoue has decided to stay.”
Those are the words of Tiemoue Bakayoko’s brother and agent Abdoulaye, who has seemingly confirmed that Tiemoue is going to be staying at Chelsea beyond the summer transfer window. The midfielder spent last season on loan with AC Milan, but with Chelsea being unable to bring any players in on a permanent basis right now due to their transfer ban, there are some serious question marks as to what their strategy is going to be during the summer.
Bringing players like Bakayoko back to the club is certainly going to be a good place to start, as he can provide solid cover for the Blues in the middle of the park. He may not be a world beater in the eyes of many, but all he needs is one or two chances to prove the world wrong.
