Eredivisie giants Feyenoord are attempting to sign midfielder Otman Bakkal, Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf has suggested.
Even though the summer transfer window has been closed, the De Kuip outfit still have time to complete the signing as their target has recently become a free agent.
Bakkal ended his contract with Dinamo Moscow last week and he looks set to return to Dutch Eredivisie.
Boss Ronald Koeman believes Bakkal’s experience would be a huge asset to his youthful squad, and is keen to lure him to Rotterdam.
The 28-year-old started his career at PSV Eindhoven and went on to make 118 league appearances for the club, scoring 25 goals and winning one Eredivisie title.
Loan spells at Den Bosch, Eindhoven, Twente and Feyenoord also proved quite successful, but the stint at Dinamo Moscow was utterly disappointing, with Bakkal only making four substitute appearances in the league during the 2012/2013 season.
