Tottenham ace Gareth Bale says his side’s unbeaten run can continue in their historically tough fixture with Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Spurs managed a 2-1 win at their London rivals in last season’s league fixture in what was their first away win at Fulham since March 2002.
They also suffered a 4-0 loss at the Cottage in the fifth round of the FA Cup in January.
But Harry Redknapp’s men are currently on a seven-match unbeaten streak in the Premier League, and Welshman Bale believes that Spurs’ momentum can carry them through Sunday’s clash.
“It’s a tough place to go. Fulham are a team that work hard, they’re always organised which makes it difficult when you’re playing away from home,” Bale told Spurs TV Online.
“When we’re on a winning streak like we are now, there’s always a buzz about the place and training is a lot more fun.”
“At the moment it’s going really well but we’re not getting carried away.”
“Everybody is buzzing at the moment. We know we’re in good form and we know we need to keep it up.”
“Newcastle won on Monday night which was a little bit disappointing for us, but it’s a long, hard season and we know we need to keep improving.”
“You go into games feeling much more confident when on a good run. You’re on the front foot rather than the back, so we’ll definitely be going out there looking to win the game. Hopefully we can get a great result and put that little bit of history to bed.”
