The future of Gareth Bale has been the subject of many speculations over the past several months. Having lost his place in the starting XI under Zinedine Zidane, he has been linked with leaving Real Madrid, and it remains the case still even though Zidane has left his post and nobody has been appointed to replace the French legend.
Bale expressed doubts about his future at the Santiago Bernabeu following his match-winning performance in the Champions League final against Liverpool.
The former Tottenham winger has been seen as a natural successor to the likes of Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben at Bayern Munich, but the Welshman prefers a move back to England, according to the Mirror. If so, it will be a welcome piece of news for Manchester United who have been linked with him for a while. Chelsea were also mentioned as his possible destination, as a potential counterweight for a deal that would see Eden Hazard move the other way.
