According to a recent report from the Mirror, Real Madrid star Gareth Bale is refusing to leave the Spanish giants this summer and is instead prepared to wait two years for his contract to run out in 2022 – if necessary.
The belief is that his insane wages are serving as the stumbling block for any potential loan deal, but either way, it doesn’t seem as if there’s any real motivation from anyone to get a move up and running.
The Welshman has always been at the heart of controversy during his stay at the Santiago Bernabeu, but at this stage, you would think he is edging closer and closer towards finally leaving the club. Whether or not Zinedine Zidane wants to keep this circus going is another matter, as it’s pretty clear to see they don’t get along.
It’s a sad saga and it’s disappointing to see the direction it has gone in, but such is the cruel nature of this game.
