Bale set for Real Madrid farewell?

According to a recent report from Marca, Gareth Bale is intent on starting Real Madrid’s game against Real Betis at the weekend in order to give a proper farewell to the club’s fans. Bale is set to leave the club during the summer transfer window after being informed that he won’t be a part of Zinedine Zidane’s plans moving forward. It’s no secret that the Frenchman isn’t a big fan of Gareth, and that he’s been eager to pull the trigger on selling him for quite some time now.

Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have both been heavily linked with a move for Bale for quite some time now, but it never seemed like a feasible possibility for either club. At this point, though, it seems as if the Welshman is destined to leave the Bernabeu, despite having some great moments with the club over the years.

Will he do a U-turn? It seems unlikely.
