Bale’s agent hits out at Real Madrid fans

“Gareth deserves the greatest of respect. The way Real fans have treated him is nothing short of a disgrace”.

Those are the short and simple words of Gareth Bale’s agent Jonathan Barnett, who has made it clear that he isn’t impressed with the Bernabeu faithful. Bale, who joined Real back in 2013 from Tottenham Hotspur, has had a mixed run with the European champions and it feels like that’s putting it lightly. In addition to all of the titles he has helped them to win, he’s also been inconsistent at times – or, for some reason, has just been out of favour with the manager.

The Welshman is still one of the most expensive players in world football and one of the best, too, but it’s clear to see that something needs to change in this situation. If it doesn’t, then the end of the 29 year old’s tenure in Madrid could get pretty ugly.
