Bale’s Real Madrid talks on hold

According to a recent report from Sky Sports, negotiations regarding Gareth Bale’s future at Real Madrid will be on hold until after the Euros.

The belief is that no set date has currently been given for talks to resume between Real’s representatives and Gareth Bale’s representatives, with Bale asking for a contract settlement that Real aren’t on board with.

Bale is still under contract with the Spanish giants until summer 2022, with another season at Tottenham seeming unlikely.

The Welshman is still one of the most intriguing players in world football and, to put it more bluntly, probably one of the best too.

Spurs would be happy to keep him on their books but there are rumours circulating that he could even retire after he’s seen out the final year of his Real Madrid contract.

So, with all of that being said, we think there’s a pretty interesting few months ahead.
