The downfall Manchester City have experienced this season has widely been put down to the absence of Rodri, with their drop coinciding with the Ballon d’Or tearing his ACL.
It may bee too late for Pep Guardiola’s team to think about defending the Premier League title – it’s certainly too late for Champions League glory – but Rodri starting to train again will have been a beautiful sight for City fans.
