Balotelli’s agent hints at Napoli deal; Warnock says Taarabt free to leave

Balotelli’s agent hints at Napoli deal

The agent of Manchester City forward Mario Balotelli has hinted that his client would be interested in a move to Napoli.

The Italy international is reportedly unsettled at Eastlands and he is hoping for a return to Serie A.

With Manchester City keen on Napoli forward Ezequeil Lavezzi, Balotelli’s agent Mino Raiola believes a deal could be done that would satisfy all interested parties.

“An exchange involving Balotelli and Lavezzi between Napoli and City? If I were Napoli I would do it because I consider Mario to be a great player,” Mino Raiola told Radio CRC.

Raiola also hinted that Manchester City target Marek Hamsik could soon leave Napoli.

“Napoli bought Hamsik when no other club wanted to take a chance on him and they pay him very little money when you consider how much he is now worth.

“If Napoli should lose Hamsik, they must be ready to replace him and have a plan in place.

“Every player has his cycle at a club and when it is finished, it is right to go elsewhere.”

Warnock says Taarabt free to leave

Queens Park Rangers boss Neil Warnock admits that star player Adel Taarabt can leave the club if he wants to.

The Moroccan playmaker has been a subject of heavy transfer speculation this summer and he is reportedly looking to leave QPR for a bigger club.

Paris Saint-Germain are believed to be leading the race for his signature, but Lazio and Sevilla are also interested.

QPR boss Neil Warnock has now caused quite a stir by saying that Taarabt is free to leave the club.

“He has not said anything to me.” Warnock said at a press conference. “I do take it with a pinch of salt when they go abroad.”

“My message is the same with every player at the club, not just Adel. If a player wants to leave, he can leave. I’ve never had a problem with that.”

Warnock admits that Paris Saint-Germain sent an official offer for the player’s services this summer.

“But for all the talk of the offers we had, I never saw an allegedly massive offer from Paris St Germain.

“I know what they offered and by the time we paid Tottenham we would have been left with peanuts.”

Milan and PSG weighing up move for Abidal

Milan and Paris Saint-Germain have expressed interest in signing Barcelona defender Eric Abidal, according to L’Equipe.

The French defender has one year left on his contract with Barcelona and talks regarding a new deal have yet to produce results.

The player reportedly wants to finish his career at Camp Nou, but he is not satisfied with the contract being offered to him.

The Catalans are prepared to offer him a two-year extension that would see him take a pay cut in the second year of the contract.

The player is clearly not happy with the contract offer and could be forced to look elsewhere.

Paris Saint-Germain would welcome the chance to sign the veteran defender and there are no doubts that the Saints would be able to offer Abidal a very good deal.

AC Milan are also keen as they, too, want to sign a new left-back in January.

The Rossoneri signed Taye Taiwo from Marseille this summer, but the Nigerian failed to live up to the expectations, and they are already looking for his replacement.
