Balotelli close to joining Brescia

According to a recent report from Sky Italy, former Liverpool and Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli is edging closer and closer towards securing a move to Brescia. This news will come as something of a surprise to a lot of fans, in the wake of the news that he was seemingly heading for Brazilian football with Flamengo. Now, he looks to be on the verge of resuming his tenure in Italian football, which is a place that has been pretty profitable for him in the past.

Brescia would serve as a great re-entry point for him into Serie A, as he attempts to prove that he’s still an elite level forward. The former Italy international still has a long way to before he is considered to be a world class forward yet again, but in many ways, he may not even want that title anymore.

He can keep flying under the radar and making a good living for himself in Italy.
