Balotelli heading to AC Monza

According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Mario Balotelli is set to sign for Serie B club AC Monza until the end of the season.

The former Manchester City and Liverpool star is well known for being one of the most eccentric characters in recent Premier League memory, but it’s been a long time since he last made a splash in English football. He’s spent the last few years of his career floating around in search of a club with some purpose, and he’ll be attempting to fall back on that by joining Monza.

He may not be the same striker that he once was and nobody even really thinks that he is, but Balotelli is still the sort of figure that can bring a great deal to a club. Now, his aim will be to work his way back to the top of the mountain before he retires.
