Besiktas are eyeing a cut-price move for out of favour Liverpool forward Mario Balotelli, according to the Independent.
The Italy international could be set for a loan move to the Turkish outfit who are on the lookout for a replacement for Mario Gomez, who decided against extending his one year stay in Istanbul.
Balotelli spent last season back at AC Milan but scored just three goals in twenty-three appearances for the club.
He also failed to show his best form during his one and only season with his parent club, netting just four times in twenty-eight outings in all competitions and his lack of form has seen him frozen out at international level, with his last cap for Italy coming almost three years ago.
Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has deemed the twenty-five year old surplus to requirements at Anfield and will listen to offers, with Besiktas the front runners in the race to secure his services.
