Balotelli linked with Premier League return

The Mirror understands that Mario Balotelli could make a sensational return to the Premier League this summer.

The Italy international has spent the past two seasons in France with Ligue 1 side Nice where he has achieved his best goal return of his career so far.

However, he is set to be out of contract in the summer and could make a return to England’s top flight having enjoyed differing amounts of success with Manchester City and Liverpool.

With the former, he scored thirty goals in eighty appearances and won the FA Cup and Premier League title – providing the assist for Sergio Aguero’s famous strike which clinched the title.

He played for Liverpool during the 2014/15 season but scored just four goals in twenty-eight games before returning to Milan on loan.

Internationally, he has been capped a total of thirty-three times for his country, scoring thirteen times.
