Mario Balotelli is set to shun a move away from Liverpool and bag a six figure loyalty bonus for doing so, according to The Mirror.
The striker has a clause in his contract that would see him receive a fee should he remain at Anfield beyond the summer’s transfer window.
Both Lazio and Sampdoria in Balotelli’s native Italy have both been linked with a loan move for the twenty-five year old, who underwhelmed in his debut season on Merseyside.
In twenty-eight appearances in all competitions, the former Manchester City man scored just four goals, and only one of those strikes came in the Premier League.
He has been told he is surplus to requirements by Reds’ boss Brendan Rodgers, who left him out of last Sunday’s squad for the win at Stoke City.
Ahead of Balotelli in the Liverpool pecking order are Christian Benteke, Divock Origi, Danny Ings and Daniel Sturridge.
