Bamford returns to Chelsea

Patrick Bamford has terminated his loan spell at Crystal Palace and returned to parent club Chelsea, according to the Mail Online.

The twenty-two-year-old moved to Selhurst Park in the summer but has barely featured with all six of his Premier League appearances for the Eagles coming as a substitute.

He had a golden opportunity to score his first goal for the club in Monday’s goalless draw with Swansea City and in an interview after the game, he revealed that it was the last time he would play for Alan Pardew’s side.

He will now return to parent club Chelsea, who themselves played out a 0-0 draw on Monday evening when they faced Manchester United.

Bamford is yet to make a senior appearance for the Blues, who he signed for almost four years ago though prior to this season he had had impressive loan spells with MK Dons, Derby County and Middlesbrough.
