Bamford seals Crystal Palace switch

Crystal Palace have signed Patrick Bamford on a season-long loan from Chelsea, according to the Guardian.

The England U21 international spent last season with Middlesbrough, helping them to play-off final, where the North East side lost to Norwich City.

Prior to his time at the Riverside Stadium, the twenty-one year old had spells with Derby County an MK Dons, impressing everywhere he has played so far.

During his time in League One with MK Dons, he scored twenty-one goals in forty-four appearances while he notched eight strikes in twenty-three outings with Derby.

Last season his nineteen goals in forty-three games for Aitor Karanka’s side lead to him being named the Championship’s Player of the Season, and he will now get his chance to perform in England’s top flight.

Chelsea signed Bamford from Nottingham Forest in January 2012, but the striker is yet to make a first team appearance for his parent club.
