Banega keen on Napoli move

Valencia midfielder Ever Banega admits he would be keen on a move to Italian side Napoli.

The 20-year-old Argentina international is keen on playing for the team of his idol Diego Maradona.

Banega said, when asked why he would like to join Napoli: “Because two of my best friends, Ezequiel Lavezzi and Jesus Datolo play there.

“I always like to know how they are doing,” Banega told Rome based newspaper Il Corriere dello Sport.

“Every footballer in the world dreams of playing in the San Paolo, the stadium of Diego Maradona, in the jersey he wore while leading Napoli to great results.”

He added on the Serie A: “It’s a beautiful championship, I always follow it with the utmost attention. It couldn’t be any other way.”
