According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Ever Banega’s agent Marcelo Simonian is set to travel to North London in the next few days in order to negotiate with Arsenal regarding a transfer for the Argentine. The possibility of this move has been making the headlines over the course of the last few days, but now, it seems as if things are being taken to the next step.
At the age of just 29, Banega has already bounced around several clubs throughout the course of his career. His longest stint came with Valencia where he spent six years before two runs with Sevilla and a brief tenure with Inter Milan sandwiched in between.
The Rosario-born midfielder appears to be desperate to find some form of consistency at a club, and now, it seems as if a switch to the Emirates could be imminent. Banega is currently in Russia for the 2018 FIFA World Cup with the Argentina national team.
