Brazilian forward Julio Baptista has insisted that he wants to remain at Italian side Roma.
Reports have linked the 27-year-old with a move away from the club, with Manchester City as one of the clubs interested in the former Real Madrid ace.
“I am not thinking about leaving Roma,” said Baptista..
“I signed a four-year contract with Roma and I want to remain and help the team do better with respect to last season.
“Our aim will be to return to the UEFA Champions League.”
Baptista’s teammate at Roma, Simone Perrotta, is also keen on staying at the Eternal City.
“Simone’s desire, as we have said for some period, is to remain at Roma,” said agent Giuseppe Bozzo. “However, we can’t rule out a transfer at this stage.
“We will evaluate any eventual options that we are given with Roma, but it will depend on what clubs make an approach.”
